Dome & Deck, Sydney

Dome and Deck is a hidden private dwelling nested in the bush of residential area of Bellevue Hill Sydney. The suite is an annex to the main house.

The architecture is designed according to Sydney climate. Facing Northeast and overlooking the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and the sea, the roof and walls have been oriented so that the inhabited volume and outdoor spaces are always naturally shaded. The living room is interior as well as exterior and remains protected from the sun thanks to a vast dome overlaying the terrace/deck, resulting in a naturally ventilated environment both day and night.
