Longueville House, Sydney

The steep site falls on a beautiful sandstone cliff. The house was built to the contours of the land and planting bed retained from the rock found onsite. Where possible the stone face was revealed and celebrated as was the connection to the harbour.

The house reused the existing cavity brick walls to the side boundaries and added lightweight framework between to keep the vernacular character of the house.

The pool runs through the northern side of the site so you can swim through the house towards the view.
